’I’ve been fortunate to work alongside super talented colleagues, loyal clients, trusted partners and many people who have become lifelong friends,’ says co-founder
Partners& co-founder and former chief executive Lee Davey has stepped away from full-time executive leadership of the broker.
In a post on LinkedIn, Davey said the decision was made following medical advice.

Davey launched Partners& alongside Phil Barton in April 2020 during the first Covid-19 lockdown, but began his insurance career in 1988 after leaving school at the age of 16 and joining a Devon-based broker as an office junior.
His statement said: ”Looking back now, I feel incredibly proud of what has been achieved and deeply grateful to everyone who has played a part in that journey.
”I’ve been fortunate to work alongside super talented colleagues, loyal clients, trusted partners and many people who have become lifelong friends. Together we’ve shared successes, navigated challenges, celebrated milestones and built something that will continue to thrive long into the future.”
He added that, while he had not anticipated having to make the decision to step away, he did so ”with enormous gratitude, immense pride and complete confidence in the people who will take the business forward.”
Davey also thanked those in the sector who had been part of his journey, and added that “time will tell” on what comes next.
He finished: ”For now, I am focusing on recovery, spending time with family and friends, enjoying the North Devon coast and trying to convince Maple that she isn’t actually in charge of everything!
”What I do know is that my curiosity, optimism and enthusiasm for people, business, and new opportunities remain as strong as ever.”
