Arc Legal Group, a subsidiary of AmTrust International, has appointed John Walsh as its new commercial director.
Walsh will be responsible for managing the commercial division of the business and driving the company’s strategic priorities through expanding growth with existing partners and identifying new opportunities.

“We are expecting strong results for 2025 and have a robust growth plan going into 2026 across our key product lines. I am looking forward to working with our partners and bringing in new opportunities.”
Experience
Walsh brings more than 20 years of experience to the role. Prior to joining Arc Legal, he served as head of broker sales for British Engineering Services.

He began his career with Whitbread and then worked for 10 years at RSA in multiple roles, culminating in specialty lines director for UK lines.
He has also held senior roles for firms including Swinton Insurance and specialist employee benefits provider Unum.
In his new role, Walsh will be based in Colchester and report to Lee Taylor, chief executive at Arc Legal.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
