’I am delighted and honoured to continue the journey with my Swiss Re colleagues and broker partners to better serve our clients together,’ says group broker executive
International (re)insurer Swiss Re has launched a new group broker management practice to bring responsibility for relationships with key brokers and intermediaries together within a dedicated unit.

The new practice will strengthen strategic engagement with brokers, deepen collaboration and enhance service levels across the organisation.
The reinsurer has appointed Matthias Meyenhofer as group broker executive to lead the new practice, effective July 2026.
In his new role, he will foster strategic broker relationships and drive greater alignment across Swiss Re’s businesses.
The firm works closely with brokers across all three of its business units – property and casualty reinsurance, corporate solutions and life and health reinsurance – as well as at the group level.
Andreas Berger, group chief executive at Swiss Re, said: “Our new group broker management function will enable us to deliver greater value to our broker partners.”
Experience
Having served at Swiss Re for over five years, Meyenhofer most recently held the position as account executive at the firm since 2023.
