Winslow officially starts new role as chief executive at CFC

Adam Winslow has officially started his new role as group chief executive at CFC.

Winslow was previously chief executive at Direct Line Group (DLG), but stepped down in 2025 after Aviva completed its £3.7bn acquisition of the insurer.

His new position at CFC was announced a few weeks ago, with him officially starting today (27 July 2026).

Speaking on his first day, Winslow said: “CFC is an exceptional business and it’s clear to see the energy, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit that have made it such a success.

”I’m looking forward to getting to know colleagues across the company and building on the strong foundations already in place as we continue to scale the business, strengthen our market leadership and unlock the next phase of CFC’s growth.”

Succession

Winslow succeeds Louise O’Shea, who is stepping down but will remain a significant shareholder in the business.

CFC said that Winslow’s appointment followed a “rigorous succession process overseen by the board and O’Shea”.

John Howard, chairman at CFC, said: “The appointment of Winslow as chief executive comes at an exciting time for CFC as it looks to further accelerate global growth while unlocking the significant potential of AI across its operations.

“He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience and a strong track record of delivering results in both public and private environments.”
