Not interested before and not interested now, says Haste

RSA chief executive Andy Haste says RSA will not buy any of the insurance businesses being sold by RBS, the FT reports.

He said Directline, Churchill and the other insurance businesses RBS is being forced to sell would be too big and would upset the balance of RSA’s exposures.

"When the businesses were up for sale before, I think we said then that we would not be interested and that position would not have changed today," Haste said.
