Raft of internal appointments made.

Two senior staff have left Venture Preference (VPL), AXA’s independent broking arm, and a host of others have been appointed, as it continues to integrate its acquisitions, Layton Blackham, Stuart Alexander and Smart & Cook into the business.

Former managing director of Layton Blackham, Geoff Bradford, and Nick Inge, UK regional managing director, South, have left the company to pursue other interests. They follow Layton Blackham personal lines manager Chris Tully, who resigned in April.

VPL chief executive Stuart Reid denied that the departure of Bradford, who served as head of financial services and integration, would impact on the company’s integration plans.

VPL has also unveiled a raft of appointments to its operations board, and revealed plans to move to larger premises in Southampton.

Jane Bean had been appointed Head of Risk & Compliance, Henrietta Flynn as Head of Brand & Communication, Brett Wexler as Group Client Services & Broking Director, Andy Parsons as Head of HR and Martyn Beer as Head of IT.

VPL said further appointments to complete the team would be made over the coming months.

Reid said: "This is clearly a significant step along the integration road and the team will be working hand in hand with the Trading board."

Commenting on Bradford's departure, he added: "Geoff played a key role in the development of Layton Blackham. Though we are sorry to see him go, we obviously support him in his decision and wish him every success in the future."
