Thompson Insurance Consultants owner Allan Thompson has retired from the business

Swinton has acquired the commercial and personal lines books of Thompson Insurance Consultants in Sunderland.

The Fulwell based broker’s commercial clients have transferred to Swinton Commercial’s regional office in Newcastle, while the firm’s personal lines clients have transferred to Swinton’s Sunderland branch.

Thompson Insurance Consultants owner Allan Thompson has retired from insurance and his two staff have transferred to Swinton in Sunderland.

A spokesperson for Swinton said it had a number of deals in its pipeline due to complete in 2014 and had recently seen an increase in the number of brokers wishing to discuss the future plans of their business.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
