Graham Burrows joins motor claims management firm

Claims management and technology firm Validus-IVC has hired QBE’s Graham Burrows as its new claims operations director.

Burrows previously spent three years as operations claims manager for motor at QBE. He has also worked in similar claims roles at LV= and Highway Insurance, where he began his career in 2005.

In his new role Burrows will report to Validus chief operating officer Ed van Rooyen.

Validus chief executive Mike Srokowski said: “Graham joins us at an exciting time for the business as we roll out our Verify motor claims technology platform, which manages all inter-party motor claims for insurers, credit hire companies and solicitors, as well as those organisations who manage claims on their behalf.

“We have a number of insurers and other parties using the platform, and Graham’s role will be to help us make sure Verify becomes the benchmark for motor claims management in the UK.”

Burrows added: “Motor claims is rapidly evolving in the UK and, coming from an insurer, I strongly believe Validus has a key role to play in helping insurers and other market players adapt to the new world order.“
