Norgrove set to take over from Patrick Manly

Zurich has confirmed that Ken Norgrove is the new chief executive for its general insurance business in Ireland.

The Zurich chief executive role has been empty since the start of the year, when Patrick Manly left to take over from Annette Court as Zurich chief executive of Europe.

Norgrove joins Zurich from Travelers Insurance, where he was vice president responsible for international strategic development. He was previously in charge of SME at RSA.

Manley said: "Ken brings extensive domestic and overseas insurance experience to his new role with Zurich.

"We are confident that his expertise will be a great addition to the Irish operation and he will play a key role in growing and developing our business offering in the years ahead."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
