Direct operation lauunches today with modest early targets

Admiral today launched its direct French operation, L'Olivier, or Oliver Tree, from its offices in Paris.

The company expects a modest start with small initial volumes as it learns how to play in the French market. Admrial has the advantage of having a French aggregator, Le Lynx.

Admiral recently annonced it was in talks to sell its German direct insurance operation, Admrial Direkt.
