Gibraltar and FSA regulatory approval complete purchase

Gibraltar-domiciled UK niche motor underwriter Markerstudy has won regulatory approval and completed its takeover of Zenith Insurance, the Link Underwriting Agency and GHL Insurance Services.

The Gibraltar regulator FCS and the UK’s Financial Services Authority (FSA) have approved the takeover of Gibraltar-based Zenith, which includes Link and GHL.

Markerstudy

Markerstudy has UK offices in Sundridge, Tunbridge Wells, Chelmsford, Haywards Heath, Oxford and Birmingham. It has underwriting, distribution and support services divisions and provides a wide range of motor insurance policies under various brands.

Markerstudy was established in 2001 by Kevin Spencer and Gary Humphreys.

Zenith

Zenith Insurance is a Gibraltar-based insurer known principally for its broker distributed motor insurance products, servicing a network of approximately 3,000 FSA authorised insurance intermediaries.

Zenith is regulated by the FSC.
