New area underwriters move from RSA, Chartis and Allianz

NIG has hired six area underwriters for motor, property and liability business.

The six underwriters have joined from rival insurers including from RSA, Chartis and Allianz.

Gareth Baxter joins from RSA where he gained over 30 years experience as a property expert in different managerial and leadership roles. As area underwriter for property, he will be based at NIG’s Maidstone office.

David Glover joins from Allianz where he was a senior fleet underwriter for ten years. Glover will be based in NIG’s Leeds office as the area underwriter for motor.

Roen Middleton has previously worked with Zurich Municipal and most recently Chartis. She has over 16 years experience in liability underwriting and joins NIG’s Manchester office as the area underwriter for liability

Trevor Southon joins from Chartis and brings with him 30 years of experience in commercial underwriting. He is taking the role of area underwriter for liability and will be based at NIG’s Bristol office.

Sarah Hunter has more than 17 years experience working as a motor technical underwriter with RSA. She becomes area underwriter for motor, based in NIG’s Bristol office.

Finally, Neil Fitton will be based at NIG’s Watford office as area underwriter for liability. Previously, hel was TDG PLC’s group insurance and environmental manager for nine years and has also worked in the London Market as an underwriter with RSA.
