Pearson “fundamental” to the integration of OAMPS teams into its new parent

Exit, sign, leave, quit, resign

OAMPS UK chief executive Howard Pearson has left the broker, parent company Arthur J Gallagher has confirmed.

Pearson left the company at the end of December. He joined OAMPS UK as divisional broking director in May 2011.

He was previously retail managing director of Giles, now also owned by Arthur J Gallagher.

OAMPS UK is now part of Arthur J Gallagher, which acquired the broking businesses of  Australian firm Wesfarmers in June 2014.

A Gallagher spokesperson said: “When we acquired OAMPS UK in 2014 as part of the Wesfarmers deal, we welcomed a great collection of people and businesses into Arthur J Gallagher – and Howard’s first priority was always to support its people and specialisms in their transition into the group.

“Over the months that followed, Howard was fundamental to the successful integration of the OAMPS teams into their new homes within Gallagher and it is to his great credit that the various businesses are now settling into ‘business as usual’.

“With this critical integration work now complete, Howard felt it was the natural point for him to hand over the reins; we’d like to thank him for everything he has done to ensure this process was a success and wish him all the very best for the future.”
