TomTom aims to expand from fleet management into insurance telematics for drivers

TomTom has teamed up with Motaquote to create a new telematics product called Fair Pay.

TomTom Business Solutions managing director Thomas Schmidt said: “Our entry in the insurance market with our proven fleet management technology puts us at the forefront of a move that could help to revolutionise the motor insurance industry.”

TomTom hopes to expand the plans across Europe.
