CCV regional MD steps in

Motaquote managing director Nigel Lombard has resigned as the broker has announced a strategic review of its business.

The Welsh broker is owned by Cullum Capital Ventures (CCV). The review will be headed up by CCV regional managing director Joe Simmons.

Motaquote said the review will bolster the support structure for its small business unit and improve its branch network and telematics arm.

It could lead to redundancies and Motaquote closing its Williamstown Centre. Last August Motaquote shut half its branches as customers moved online and the recession hit revenues.

CCV operations director David Bruce said: “We are committed to the long-term success of Motaquote and this review is intended to create a robust structure that will enable the business to fulfil its true potential and secure a profitable future.”
