Welsh broker Quick Quote Insurance Services has revealed plans to expand in south Wales days after rival broker Motaquote shut half of its branches in the area.
Quick Quote has opened an office in Aberdare and is also set to open an office in Bridgend in the next two months, according to Quick Quote special projects manager Steve Western.
“It’s a conservative estimate that we will then open another four branches from December to December,” Western added.
Quick Quote would focus its growth in south Wales, Western said.
“It’s an aggressive campaign, but we’re not going to go over the bridge at the moment,” he said.
Quick Quote currently has three offices, in Aberdare, Swansea and Port Talbot.
Motaquote recently closed seven high street branches in the area, including one in Aberdare.
A Motaquote spokesman said the firm was forced to close the branches after increasing numbers of customers moved online and the economic downturn depressed revenues.
