It’s a busy week as I jet off to Bermuda for a whistestop tour of the great and the good of the reinsurance industry

Wednesday

Veteran Sunday Times journalist Peter Gillman is in, training my colleague Sam and me in the tricks of the trade. He had some tough advice, but it was worth it.

Thursday

I write up the Sean Rocks profile for this week’s issue. He reveals his plans for eastern Europe expansion.

Friday

I’m busy prepping for my first trip to Bermuda to meet the heads of the reinsurance industry. When I arrive two days later, it’s at an airport full of insurance advertising posters.

Monday

I chair the first regional market roundtable for Insurance Times’s sister title for the reinsurance industry, Global Reinsurance, where I garner the thoughts of reinsurers and brokers on everything from tax evasion to inefficiencies in the Bermudian immigration policy.

Tuesday

Lunch with more reinsurers after a tour of the island, before jumping on the red eye flight back to London.
