How we compiled the data

The survey was limited to respondents in full-time employment working within the UK. In an attempt to represent the whole insurance industry, the survey was open to respondents from a wide range of insurance-related disciplines. The response options to a number of questions, including those related to salary and bonus, were intended to be minimally invasive.

To this end predefined response ranges were provided. Responses were treated in the strictest of confidence. Data was collated by TNS Media.
