Seven MPs including former housing minister David Curry and Hereford MP Bill Wiggins were briefed by the ABI earlier this week about flooding.
The briefing is designed to allow MPs to lobby the Treasury inside the House of Commons about flood, an ABI spokesman said. The institute wants the government to increase spending on flood defences in July's Comprehensive Spending Review.
