It must be 10 or 15 years since I advocated sprinklers in all schools, and now the government is considering putting them in all domestic properties.
Surely schools and properties such as care-homes should come first.
Schools are more vulnerable by being unattended at night, while care-homes are important from the human point of view.
The ideal would be for sprinkler systems to be in every building, but implementation will take many years.
