Allianz Cornhill Engineering has a green bean problem. In fact, quite a weighty problem - 40 tonnes to be precise. No, Backchat has not gone mad. Allianz Cornhill insured the contents of some industrial freezers containing green beans. Following the breakdown of a cooling fan, the policy paid out, leaving £200,000 worth of defrosted vegetables with the insurer to dispose of. Keen to mitigate its loss, Allianz Cornhill is now looking to sell the beans. Anyone fancy making a big salad?
