Who says idealism has gone out of the law? Backchat was buoyed up by a press release that arrived from Manchester law firm Amelans, announcing the date of a pivotal case for the after the event insurance industry.
Leaving no doubt about the odds they face, they go on to describe the case between after the event and liability insurers as: “Amelans vs The Dark Menace” or “Maximus vs The Entire Praetorian Guard” or alternatively “Two lads from polytechnic vs The huge funds and resources of Norwich Union”.
