Amlin issued nearly 130,000 new shares last week as part of its minority buy-out of capacity on its Syndicate 2001.

The company has Lloyd's approval to increase its ownership from 97.6% of capacity up to 100%.

Third party capacity owners have until 12 November to say whether they would prefer cash or shares in return for their investments.

Amlin's stock was holding steady at 90p last Friday and the company now has a total of nearly 388 million shares in circulation.
