Independent Insurance run-off company Aurora Corporate Services Ltd will announce the three companies bidding for it today, sources have revealed.

Aurora chief executive Ken Blanc was expected to tell staff this morning which companies had made the shortlist.

Aurora, originally established to undertake the run-off of Independent, was put on the market by Independent's liquidators' PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in August.

The sale was designed to establish Aurora as an fully-fledged corporate services company.

The existing services providers and a number of information technology firms were believed to be interested.

Blanc was unable to comment to Insurance Times.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
