Will AXA have to change its name? The question arises from a recent fraud case in the West Country.

It seems a £7,000 cheque destined for AXA was re-routed to the account of a man whose name started with the same three letters. Bristol Crown Court heard that Charles Omenai, who had been working for AXA for a month, re-routed a cheque to someone he knew called Axania.

And it's not only AXA that will be taking extra care. NIG should, too. Maybe it should be on the lookout for Nigels and Nigellas.
