Can chief executives get a little too self-obsessed? Even narcissistic? At the recent Acord conference, delegates were surprised to see Markel UK chief executive Gerry Albanese sitting and smiling at a computer in the business centre.
Many thought he was reading an email or watching an amusing video clip. But when delegates peeked over his shoulder, they found he was watching a videostream of his own performance at a conference Q&A session.
Our source said: "He looked as happy as a sandboy watching his own face on the screen."
