Willis is encouraging its broker to be part of the Blackberry generation so they can track their job 24 hours a day.
But, Backchat has been told that under new company rules they are expected to pay 50% towards the cost of any Blackberry they purchase.
A Willis spokeswoman said: "Employees pay a flat fee which is a portion of the cost of the equipment. The company is responsible for the remainder of the equipment cost as well as any service fees."
