Broker Direct is to launch into the small commercial vehicle market this autumn to back brokers hit by insurance company mergers.

Broker Direct sales and marketing director Terry Stanley said pilot studies were well advanced as they went through the product development stage.

He added: “Because brokers have lost markets in small vehicle through mergers we felt it was the right time to move into this area.”

The product will be on a full cycle EDI basis. Currently, 95% of Broker Direct's private motor business is full cycle EDI.
