Group heading for expansion outside North America
RFIB Group Limited, the international Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance broker, has announced that Hugh Champion has been appointed a director of RFIB Group Limited.
Champion has begun his new role driving the group’s international strategic expansion of its leading position in facilities and binding authority business.
He will lead a team of 10 staff who specialise in the area and will work across the group to further develop RFIB’s presence outside North America, whilst building on RFIB’s significant international presence in the reinsurance sector.
Patrick Holcroft, RFIB Group chief executive, said: “Opportunities are opening up in the international wholesale insurance arena which will enable RFIB to apply its expertise in facilities and binders business on a much wider basis. We have already made considerable progress on this front.
"With Hugh now on board, the group is well placed to push further ahead in 2008 and beyond.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
