The London Market Faculty has thrown its support behind the new Lloyd's and London Market Introductory Test (LLMIT) which has recently been introduced by the CII, Lloyd's, the International Underwriting Association, the London Market Brokers Committee and the Lloyd's Market Association.
The LLMIT is designed to help drive up standards of knowledge, performance and customer care throughout the London market and is expected to promote understanding of insurance practice across the whole of the London subscription market.
London Market Faculty chairman Derek Thornton, said: “London is such an important and unique market and it is essential that it has its own specialist introductory training.
The LLMIT replaces the Lloyd's Introductory Test which, since its introduction in 1986, has been the introductory test of choice for staff working in Lloyd's managing and members' agents and broking staff of Lloyd's brokers, with over 30,000 entrants to-date.
