’This is an exciting opportunity for Allianz Personal Broker to grow our home insurance portfolio and reach new customers across the UK,’ says managing director

Allianz UK has joined the panel for Sky Protect Home Insurance as it looks to expand its presence in the personal lines broker market.

Under the agreement, Allianz will be responsible for pricing, underwriting and claims handling for policies placed with the insurer through Sky Protect’s home insurance proposition.

The insurer will write new business through the panel and provide cover for existing Sky Protect customers who are placed with Allianz at renewal.

Allianz said joining the panel would create opportunities to reach new customers while supporting Sky Protect’s continued development in the home insurance sector.

Glyn Hughes, managing director at Allianz Personal Broker, said: “We are delighted to join the Sky Protect panel, a trusted household brand with ambitious plans for growth.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Allianz Personal Broker to grow our home insurance portfolio and reach new customers across the UK. Being part of the panel is a great moment for Allianz Personal Broker, a strong example of how we’re continuing to support the broker market.”

Panel strengthened

Sky Protect said Allianz’s arrival strengthens its panel and adds further capacity to its proposition.

Paul Sweeney, managing director at Sky Protect, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Allianz to the Sky Protect insurance panel, completing an expert lineup of leading insurers that will help us deliver even more value to our customers.

”Bringing together Allianz, Ageas and Axa means we can offer greater choice, competitive pricing and more tailored cover options, while continuing to provide the simple, seamless experience that Sky Protect is known for.”
