A Research and Markets report has forecast growth in the commercial liability sector despite a softening market place.

The report is titled UK Commercial Liability Insurance 2005 and analyses growth in the employer's liability, professional indemnity and directors' and officers' (D&O) markets.

The D&O sector, it forecasted, would benefit from steady growth in merger and acquisition activity, leading “directors' and officers' insurers to offer innovative new products to a potentially wider audience.”

It predicted that the employers' liability market would be worth £3bn by 2009.

“In the eyes of commercial liability brokers, insurers appear to be doing a very good job,” the report said.

“Satisfaction levels are high, as is apparent from the 41.3% of brokers we interviewed who described themselves as very satisfied with their insurance partners."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
