Towergate chairman and chief executive Peter Cullum has a cunning plan. Not only does he want to dominate the regions with his virtual insurer, but he also has a devilish plot to wipe out Delia Smith.
TV's favourite chef is also Norwich City's most famous supporter, spiritually and financially. But a source told Backchat last week that Cullum's ultimate goal is take her place in the executive box.
"Peter is very ambitious, but his interest in the long-term is to buy Norwich City.
That has been his ulterior motive behind driving Towergate Underwriting and The Folgate Partnership," said the source.
A source close to the Queen of the Kitchen said: "Peter who? Well, bring it on. You can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs."
