Stand-up comedian Dominic Holland was intent on making an impression when he hosted the Insurance Times Awards recently.
Midway through, Holland, a former winner of the Perrier Newcomer Award, achieved this by dashing backstage to relieve himself of some dodgy seafood.
It was but a minor setback for the comic, who continued his act without skipping a beat, despite sweating profusely and enduring a roiling stomach.
It appears that hotel room service had served up some less than award-winning salmon to the brave Holland.
Guests pondered whether the hotel had the appropriate liability cover.
