Ecclesiastical has renamed and enhanced its two intermediary household policies.
Home Secure Advance will be known as Home Insurance – Bedroom Rated, and Home Secure Classic will be known as Home Insurance. The bedroom-rated product offers a standard £40,000 contents cover plus £3,500 worth of portable possessions. Both include £3,000 of automatic cover for business equipment in the home, a number of increased discounts and rating to full postcode.
Also provided is 24 hours a day and seven days aweek claims notification, new literature and increased discounts on combined policies where larger sums are insured.
In addition, the type of property insured (bungalow, detached) has been introduced as a further factor in the rating process. The changes do not include household business through EDI or household schemes. These will be addressed a later date.
