Meyer's start-up will retain 'traditional' broker principles as well as targeting white label partners

Former director of Capita Insurance and ex-Hero Development director Ian Meyer is to launch a new insurance broker, Netpig Insurance, in June. The broker will initially offer personal lines insurance but plans to expand into other lines.

Meyer will be managing director while former Beta Works managing director John Sexton will be chief executive. The broker will target white label partners but will retain some of the “traditional principles” of the insurance broker, Meyer says.

Meyer said: “There are many insurance brokers looking for a type of policy where the insurance offering is not exploited by the way aggregators collect consumer data and present results. We intend to work in partnership with aggregators, rather than just appearing as a brand with a standard offer. Our partnerships will not be limited to just online business. We have already secured some very attractive relationships for both online and offline lead generation, and we are looking to secure more in the near future.”
