The FSA has called on consumers to help it stamp out misleading advertising.
The financial services regulator has launched a new guide at www.fsa.gov.uk which is designed to help consumers spot misleading adverts.
FSA consumer director Anna Bradley said: "In the run-up to the ISA season we'll be playing particularly close attention to adverts to make sure they are meeting our "clear, fair and not misleading' standard".
The FSA has announced it will take action where adverts fail to make the grade. The FSA revealed it is now prepared to name and shame offenders.
Among several other courses of action, the regulator would; demand an advert's withdrawal; forcing firms to contact misled customers and fining guilty firms.
