German company Siemens has been confirmed as one of the companies that will assist the FSA in the broker authorisation process. An FSA spokeswoman said: "The FSA is responsible for the authorisation process, but because of the scale, complexity and timescale of the task, we are getting assistance from a small number of companies, including Siemens."
