Fulham Football Club has launched a High Court legal action against a Lloyd’s Syndicate for £3m after claims relating to Chris Coleman’s car crash were not settled.
The club and manger launched the case more than three years after the former central defender’s accident, said a report. Coleman’s playing career ended as a result of the crash.
The club made a claim for the Coleman’s treatment and the cost of losing a player, making up two thirds of the compensation sought. The other £1m is due to Coleman’s loss of earnings. According to the report, the insurer has not paid out for the claim.
Syndicate 597 and Blunt PA Consortium 9027 were identified as the insurers in the writ, said the report.
