Fusion Insurance Services has rolled out a disaster recovery solution for UK business insurance policies after signing a deal with Global Continuity.

The Fusion BusinessAssist product for the SME market will provide clients with office space after a disaster, re-routed telephone and internet connections, technical assistance and management support.

Fusion managing director Nick Wright said: "Most SME’s cannot afford expensive disaster recovery and business continuity services so it is not surprising that 80% of all SME’s fail within 18 months of a major loss. We are keen to minimise our underwriting exposure to this risk and see Fusion BusinessAssist as the ideal solution."

Global Continuity chief executive Richard Pursey said: “We are confident that our service can reduce an underwriter’s claim ratios by as much as 70% each year."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
