Loss adjuster GAB Robins has announced 26 job cuts. A spokeswoman said the final numbers of staff to be affected by redundancies would be confirmed at the end of this month.

She said: "It is likely that there will be around 20 redundancies for loss adjusting staff split across personal and commercial lines and six for head office support functions."

She added: " To ensure appropriate resources in the right geographical areas, staff numbers in certain areas of the business will need to be reduced."
