Autoglass is warning insurers that premiums may have to rise by up to 3% on some car models to cover rapid increases in the cost of windscreen replacements.
The windscreen repair specialist said that use of increased technology such as satellite navigation aerials and rain detectors means replacement windscreens can represent up to 10% of the value of a car.
