Standard Life Healthcare
Standard Life Healthcare has appointed Jim Black (right) as its marketing director. Black joins the Guildford-based company from Standard Life's head office in Edinburgh.
NIG has made two appointments. Iain Thomas has been promoted to the position of national sales manager. He was previously product manager for motor schemes.
George Shiers has been appointed claims technical manager. He was previously in the deputy role.
The two men have been with the company for a total of 61 years.
Specialist motor trade provider, Road Runner, has appointed Paul Inskip as group general manager. He joins from MMA Insurance where he was UK sales manager.
Willis has strengthened its marine division management team with the appointment of Jerry Ridge and Alistair Rivers as joint deputy managing directors.
The marine division has also made key promotions to its executive body. Robin Brown will have specific responsibilities in the marine reinsurance division, while Bob Peilow joins as sales director.
Marsh has strengthened its team in Cardiff. Mark Hudman joins as a claims executive, while Stephen Halsall and Karen Lloyd have been appointed client executives.
Sally Breeze and John Whitehead have joined the client advisory team, with responsibility for major corporate and public sector clients.

Miller Insurance Group has appointed four new directors: Clive Adams of the UK business risks unit, Ian Lewis of the professional risks unit, Louise Wood of the reinsurance unit and Robert Atkinson of the energy unit. Broker James Cooper has joined the political and credit risk team.
Ian Watt has returned to Crawford as director of London Latin America with responsibility for claims and developments. He is also a director of Crawford Financial and Professional Risks worldwide.
Watt's previous stint at the company – in catastrophe response and managing offices in Maidstone and Gilbratar – ended in 1992 when he moved to GAB Robins.
Mark Kennedy has become technical and quality co-ordinator. He will work on the audit process, operator training scheme, complaints resolution and loss adjuster liaison.
He joins from Cunningham Lindsey.
Ann-Marie LeClair has joined chartered accountant Haysmacintyre's litigation support unit. LeClair is a Canadian chartered accountant and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
