The fallout between AIG and its former chief executive Hank Greenberg has intensified with reports that Greenberg is to dispute the company's restated accounts.
AIG said its accounts were wrongly inflated by up to $3.9bn, but Greenberg claims this could be $1.5bn move than the real figure.
Reports said Greenberg's lawyers were preparing to discredit the earnings restatement to underline his defence in a lawsuit filed by New York attorney general Eliot Spitzer.
