Heritage Underwriting Agency has been approached by a number of parties expressing an interest in acquiring it, the company's board announced today.
With a shareholder base of some 1,400, Heritage manages syndicates 1200 and 3245.
The group's capacity stands at £208m.
The board said: “Discussions are at a preliminary stage and it is too early for the board to be able to determine whether these discussions will result in any formal offer for the company.”
