Many people love Churchill's friendly bulldog, with its cheeky smile and nodding head. However, some people have become obsessed with the canine character. It seems one woman contacted the company asking whether she could use the dog's image to pay homage to her father. He had been an avid fan of the bulldog and she wanted, as a tribute to him, to have its face tattooed on her body.

Churchill did not inquire as to where on the woman's body, but as the company holds the copyright, it had to give its blessing.

"I have to say with the trouble that dog gives us, we call it the sodding dog, not the nodding dog," said Backchat's source.
