Hiscox is handing control of its global markets professional indemnity account at Lloyd's to Ed Cruttenden, an experienced PI underwriter who has been with Hiscox since 1998.
He becomes line underwriter with effect from January 2006.
Cruttenden, aged 35, is taking over from Nick Ward who has been promoted to the newly created position of global market development underwriter.
Cruttenden has been Ward's deputy on the professional indemnity team for the last seven years.
