Law firm Russell Jones & Walker (RJW) is to relaunch Claims Direct having purchased the rights to the brand.
It said Claims Direct had taken on 16 staff in a Birmingham call centre in the run-up to the relaunch.
Claims Direct general manager Malcolm Crompton said the organisation had been working closely with the Claims Standards Federation and had consulted the recommendations made by the Better Regulation Task Force in the Arculus report.
The company plans to launch a mediation and rehabilitation pilot in 2005, after working closely with two medical reporting agencies, said Crompton.
He said: “Extensive research during the past six months has shown us that claimants are looking for a company they can trust, which also offers speed and efficiency of service. I don't think there is any other claims management company with such a strong brand.”
RJW managing director Neil Kinsella said: “This market has matured greatly in the past year and our task now is to convince the consumer that the compensation culture is a myth and if they do have a genuine grievance they can secure appropriate redress efficiently and effectively.
“Trust is the most important component to our service and we intend to regain back that trust by demonstrating to the public that the new Claims Direct service is a trustworthy service with the speed, efficiency and transparency they demand.
“We will ensure that at every stage of the process we are efficient and ethical in accordance with the Better Regulation Task Force recommendations.”
