A picture is worth a thousand words, but apparently the geeky smile of one US comedy star is worth $10m. And guess who has insured it?
Known for covering the unique and unusual, Lloyd's agreed a multi-million dollar insurance policy with Aquafresh White Trays for the smile of America Ferrera, star of hit US television show, Ugly Betty.
The brace-ladened pearly white policy is understood to be one of the most valuable Lloyd's ever provided for a body part.
Other famous body parts insured include Keith Richard's fingers, Marlene Dietrich's legs and Santa's beard.
And, if history books are to be believed, actress Bette Davis even once insured her waistline against expansion.
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
