The Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) has selected the Computer Sciences Corporation’s (CSC) Colossus software for assessing personal injury claims.

CSC said the Colossus system promoted fair and consistent personal injury claims assessment through the use of software based on rules intended to help adjusters assess a variety of claims and medical information.

CSC said the system would allow the MIB to improve the monitoring of its claims history and performance.

MIB chief executive office Ashton West, said: “While other systems would have allowed us to achieve the desired level of consistency in damage assessments, MIB chose CSC because of its extensive UK customer base and the wide use of Colossus within the insurance community.
